Teen Gothic

It seems to me that a lot of things were in the works even before the first albums were released – and even when albums were released how did news about the new underground culture travel since there was no internet and no tv coverage (or was there international TV coverage?)? Did record stores carry both British goth and American deathrock without time delay after release?

I honestly think that if there hadn't been any means to transfer news about goth it would have been born nonetheless both in the UK and the US (and other countries) since a counterpart to 80s mainstream excess euphoric culture was needed. Anybody agree?

fisrt time was ab a year ago and i dodnt have any white foundation, most recent was like a week ago (i have white foundation now)

also sorry if the format is weird i dont want ppl seeing the first time i did goth makeup and not the most recent if they jus scrolled past 😭

Hi guys I've been in the scene for a long time now but just never did traditional goth makeup. I always have coloured hair so I never thought it would suit it but here it is… Let me know your feedback!

I expected screaming, disorted guitar and vocal sounds, kinda similar to heavy metal but it was the most chill music ever, I was jammingggg. I’m just shocked. I really enjoyed it.

I’m home from work for the second day in a row because there is a psycho killer on the loose in my state (Maine). It’s been very upsetting knowing that so many people are mourning and scared right now. I’m distracting my myself with chores and making a costume that I probably won’t be able to wear anywhere since many events are being canceled while the manhunt continues. Sisters of mercy’s “no time to cry” came on my playlist and it was just the sort of thing i needed to hear. It acknowledged my pain while spurring me on to do what I can to make changes for the future so this kind of thing doesn’t continue to happen so frequently in this country. Any other songs you can recommend to get me through this upsetting Halloweekend?

tomorrow i'm going to see Sisters of Mercy, She Past Away and other bands live in Athens. I feel so lucky they came in my Country just when I started listening to them, but it's my first time going alone in a concert/festival and i'm a bit anxious to be honest but so excited! It's also going to be 45°C tommorow in Athens. A hell of a night, it's gonna be🖤. do u go to concerts/festivals alone?
